"Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman" was one of Kanye's contreversial lines to announce his "advance" beyond Jordan Brand with his own shoes in the "Yeezy" Line. In fact Yeezy is still under Jordan Brand in units sold and revenue. I used google trends to measure the searches between the two brands, and found out that Yeezy NEVER surpassed Jordan Brand when getting searched, for more than a few days.
All of this data reflects the money that eventually goes in and out of the pockets of these two influencers, and their companies. Their words affect how much money they are making every single minute. This eventually affects us, the people that they influence because we are the ones giving or taking the money based on what they are saying.
